2013/04/30 Thank you for staying!

130430family03They came from Switzerland and stayed for 8 nights.

During their stay they went to the nearest beach "Shirahama", Shimoda aquarium, Shimoda city and many places.

And their Japanese friends came to Izu and drove with this family to Shuzenji town, Western part of Izu peninsula for 2 days.

In the 1st night their children asked my son to play card game.

 

130430family01My son was very nervous befor playing because it was the first time to play with the foreign children, but my son became very happy and could have a lot of great experiences with them.

When they checked out they gave us a present from Switzerland, which was a red moneybox looked like a cow bell. Thank you very much for staying with us. We had a lot of great time with you!!

2013/04/29 Thank you for staying with us.

130429family02They are from China and have lived in Saitama since more than 8 years ago.

As they love sea and beach they went to Ryugujima island in Shirahama, Ebisujima island in Suzaki and Irozaki cape in Minami Izu town on the 2nd day.

On the 3rd day they got up before 4:00 PM and went to the nearest beach "Shirahama" to see the sunrise, and went to the Aquarium after check out.

Theyr were very lucky, because it had been sunny during their stay.

130429family01They are from India and live in Tokyo.

Last month their mother came from India to meet them and came to Shimoda together.

They went to Mt. Omuro and Jogasaki suspention bridge in Ito city on the 1st day, and went to Animal Kingdom in Inatori town after check out.

2013/04/29 Sunrise at Shirahama beach

130429sunrise01Our customers got up before 4:00 AM this morning and went to the nearest beach to see the sunrise.

As it was beautiful morning they could see the gorgeous sunrising on the horizon.

"Don't eat the sun!!"

They sent us this picture by e-mail after breakfast.

2013/04/27 Shirahama Beach today

130427beach14The Golden week, a long holiday in Japan started today.

We had a little strong west wind, but it was warmer than yesterday and we could see the gorgeous colour of sea in Shirahama today.

There were some more people than usual, and a lot of cars which came from the other prefectures were on the Route 135.

2013/04/26 Thank you for staying with us.

130426family01They are from the United States and have been in Japan for 3 years, but it was the 1st time to visit Shimoda, and they stayed at Sakuraya for 2 nights.


On 2nd day they went to sand ski and Ryugu park in Toji district, Kisami Ohama Beach in Shimoda and Seven water falls in Kawazu town.

2013/04/24 Shimoda Harbor this morning

130424shimoda01My daughter usually goes to high school by bicycle, but I took her by my car to the school this morning.

Because it wiil be rain this afternoon.

I took this photo on the way home.

This white ship is belongs to Japan Coast Guard, and there are some ships usually stay in Shimoda harbor.

2013/04/22 A present from Switzerland

130422choco01Our customers, a family from Switzerland gave us chocolates as a present.

They will stay for 8 nights from today.

My children love chocolate very much. Of course, me, too.

2013/04/20 Wind Surfing in Shirahama

30420wind01We had strong north east wind in Shirahama today.

When we have such a situation some wind surfer come to this beach.

It was very cold by this north east wind today.

When I was taking photos this wind made my hands freezing.

2013/04/18 Shirahama Beach this morning

130418beach02It's sunny and very hot here in Shimoda this morning.

I took this picture when I walked.

As the air is clear we can see the mountains coverd with fresh green leaves clearly.


If the air temperature would be getting higher we would be able to swim in Shirahama during Golden week.

2013/04/16 Palm trees in Shimoda

130416pinetree01When I walked on the road near Sotoura beach I took this picture this morning.

Between Shimoda and Shirahama there are some palm trees on the road.

I remember my home town "Miyazaki" everytime when I see them, because there are a lot of palm trees in the town and on the seaside roads in Miyazaki city.

2013/04/13 Carp Streamer "Koinobori"

130413koinobori07My son and I set up Carp Streamers for children's day which takes place on May 5th this afternoon.

The children's day is a Japanese tradition to celebrate Japanese boys and we pray that they will grow up healthy and strong.

2013/04/11 I love Shirahama Beach!!

130411beach01I took this picture on the way to the nearest beach "Shirahama" from our Pension today.

We had strong west wind in Shirahama today, but it made the air in Shirahama very clear.

So we got a gorgeous scenery today.

It was amaging and we were in almost summer.

2013/04/09 Shirahama Beach this morning

130409beach03I walked along the seaside after I served breakfast for my children this morning, and I took some pictures.

We had very big waves in last 2 days, but it was really changed after that and we have no big waves today.

The sea of spring has come back agai!

We still have a little strong west wind, but it will be very warm here in Shimoda today.

2013/04/07 Big waves in Shirahama & Cycling in Shimoda

1307407beach09Last night we had heavy rain and strong wind here in Shimoda.

But it became sunny and the blue sky came back today.

They had big waves this afternoon.

I parked my car at Shimoda harbor and started cycling to Rendaiji town.

We had strong wind, but my son was very excited today.

2013/04/04 Cycling in Shimoda

130404bike01It was a last day of Spring holiday of school. So I went to Shimoda for cycling with my son this afternoon.

We parked our car at Shimoda harbor park and went to Shimoda aquarium.

After that we went through the Shimoda town and took a free foot spa, and we played at the pinwheel festival.

He was very excited today.

2013/04/03 Thank you for staying.

130403couple01They came from Taiwan and stayed for 1 night at Sakuraya.

They have come to Japan for many times, but it was a first time for them to come to Shimoda.

We are very sorry, but it had been rainy during their stay.

One of them, he speaks Japanese very well, so we could have a good comunication in Japanese.
