My daughter got a fresh seaweed "Wakame" which her friend's parents got from Shirahama Beach today.
We had dinner with this seaweed as cooking with vegetables in a pot.
Wild fresh seaweed "Wakame" is changed its color soon after putting them into the hot water!
Thank you for wonderful present!!
It was sunny and very warm today, so I went to Minami Izu town with my son to ride a bicycle and play on the beach.

We had a little south wind, but it was very warm here in Shirahama today.
So my son and I went to the beach this afternoon.
It was a first time for us to get into the sea water, but it wasn't cold.
Click here to see the other photos which I took on the beach today.
They came from Tokyo and stayed for 2 nights.
During their stay in Shimoda they walked around in Shimoda and went to the top of Mt. Nesugata, and came back by walking from the montain.
Thank you very much for staying with us.
See you again in summer!
We had strong west wind, but it was sunny and warmer than yesterday.
The weather forecast says it will be sunny again tomorrow and will be warmer than today.
A good season to play on the beach has come!!
When I saw the sea through the window of Pension Sakuraya, there were red clouds in the sky.
So I went to the beach with my camera and took some pictures.
There was a mostly full moon over the clouds.
Have you ever tried this?
These are Sakura Mochi and Sakura Manjuu.
They are Japanese traditional confection.
In this season we can see these sweet at a lot of places in Japan.
Sakura Mochi makes us feel that spring has come!!
If you come to Japan in spring why don't you try this?
I went to Minami Izu town yesterday, on the last day of Sakura festival.
It takes about 25 nimutes by car from Shirahama.
Almost of every Sakura trees were fully blooming, and some of them had already had green leaves.
The festival was finished yesterday, but we will be able to see blooming for more 1 week there.
It was sunny all day today, but we had cold west wind here in Shimoda.
When we have strong west wind, some ships come to this beach to protect themselves from the wind.
We had a little rain this morning, but it was almost sunny after that.
When we have west wind and big waves under the sun shine we can see the rainbows on the sea water.
I went to Shimoda for shopping with my wife this afternoon.
We can buy many kinds of food and drink at the supermarket.
When I got there I was vey hungry, so I wanted to buy everything!!
