When I took my daughter to the school this morning I found out Frozen Dews on the leaves on the liver side in Rendaiji, Shimoda.

My family and I went to Shizuoka to meet my daughter yesterday.
On the way to Shizuoka, we could see the gorgeous Mt. Fuji with snow clearly under the blue sky.
By the way, after I came back from walking on the beach I saw a could of white eye in our garden this afternoon.
In Japan there are a lot of kinds of Sakura, but this Kawazu Sakura is very famous for its early blooming.
Of course, Kawazu Sakura tree just in front of the entrance of Pension Sakuraya has already started to bloom.
But it's a little bit earlier than usual to bloom.

It was very beautiful day again, so I walked on the beach and went to Ogasaki Wing.
This is a very good view points which has a gorgeous landscape with the Pacific Ocean, Izu Seven Islands, and Shirahama Beach.
It takes about an hour by walking from Pension Sakuraya.

I went to Tsumekizaki-cape yesterday, where the daffidil flower festival has been taking place since December 20th.
We had very strong north wind there but we could see the beautiful scenery under the blue sky.
The daffodil blooming is now about 50%, and it's much earlier than usual.
The good time to see the flowers is usually after the middle of January, but the next new year holidays will be the best timing, I guess.
When I came back home after shopping in Shimoda I found out small blossoms on the tree next to the entrance of Pension Sakuraya.
I didn't know when it started blooming.
By the way, It had been almost sunny here in Shimoda today.
I could see Izu seven islands on the ocean clearly this morning.
When I was walking on the seaside road I found some sparrows looked like musical note on the fence.

Today it was very beautiful, but we sometimes had a little strong west wind.

When I walked I found out the rain drop on the flowers.
I went to Shimoda and went to Perry Road to take pictures.
The hydrangea is now fully blooming in Shimoda, and there were a lot of visitors it was rainy though.

Pension Sakuraya in Shimoda
It was cloudy all day here in Shirahama today.
There are a lot of kinds of flowers on the slope in front of Pension Sakuraya.
And we can see beautiful flowers blooming in each season.
I went to the nearest beach "Shirahama Beach" to take pictures.
There were a lot of people on the beach, It was cloudy though.
Some of them were surfing, walking, sleeping, and swimming.
The hydrangea in our garden is getting colored day after day.
Do you know the color of hydrangea is different depending on the gredients of soil is acid or alkaline?
When we have rain in the morning I take my children to their school by car.

It has been sunny since last Friday, but it was the most beautiful day of this weekend today.
We didn't have wind and we could see Izu Oshima island clearly from the terrace of Pension Sakuraya.
There are many kinds of flower around Pension Sakuraya and the flowers are now blooming.
Yes, the summer has come here in Shimoda!

When I went to the beach for walking I found out the yellow flowers on the way.
This flower makes me feel that the early summer is coming soon!!

A lot of bugs seemed to be very busy to get lunch under the sun shine.

After the fully blooming of Sakura the petals of Sakura trees in Shimoda are falling by wind now.

All of Sakura trees in Shimoda are almost fully blooming.
It was sunny and very warm today, so I went to Minami Izu town with my son to ride a bicycle and play on the beach.

I went to Minami Izu town yesterday, on the last day of Sakura festival.
It takes about 25 nimutes by car from Shirahama.
Almost of every Sakura trees were fully blooming, and some of them had already had green leaves.
The festival was finished yesterday, but we will be able to see blooming for more 1 week there.

The Sakura petals were fallen down by the rain yesterday.
We had a little cold north wind, but it was sunny and very warm here in Shimoda today.
In this season we can see a lot of Sakura blossoms at many places in Shimoda.
There are a lot of familiar garden birds around our Pension.
And this is one of them, called brown-eared gulgul.
But it is very difficult to take pictures of this bird because he (or she) is moving quickly among the branches of Sakura tree.
But I did it at last today!!
We had a little sun light today, and it was warmer than yesterday.
The weather forecast says it will be snowy tomorrow again!!
