My son, Yuuki and I went to the beach to check the beach condition after kindergarten.
I bought a juice for my son at Family Mart, and got into the beach.
He drunk it up immediately. He was very thirsty, I guess.

The typhoon #11 has already gone to the north part of Japan.
It didn't land on Izu peninsula this time, so there was no problem here in Shimoda.
I went to the beach to take photos after picking my son after kindergarten.
I think the typhoon left the big waves today, but the water was very beautiful. .....
This morning we had a rain here in Shirahama, but the weather was changed and became a sunny day!
I went to the beach to swim with my children for the 2nd time this summer.
There still were a lot of people on the beach.
The sea was really blue and beautiful, but we had big waves today.
Last night the weather forecast said that it would be cloudy today, but it was sunny actually.
I went to the top of mountain behind our Pension to take photos.
I could see a lot of beach parasols on the beach.
The water was blue and gorgeous today.
We are very busy every day in summer, so we can't go to the beach though we live near the beach.
Today we had a chance that we can go to the beach.
After I finished my job we went to the beach with them.
The water became very warm and was really clear!
My children were able to play in the water and they had a great time on the beach today.

We are very busy everyday, but we all are very fine.
This summer my daughters help us at the dinner time.
It is a big help for us, because they work very well.
Today it was August 13th.
We, Japanese have a long holiday called "Obon" at the middle of August, between August 10 and 16.
I think this is one of the longest and busiest holidays in Japan.
The majority of Japanese travel inside and outside Japan and most of traffic, sightseeing spot, road, hotel, amusement park and other places would be occupied and very busy at everywhere in Japan.
So there were a lot of people on Shirahama beach today.

As you know we had a typhoon and earthquake here in Shizuoka Pref. this week.
However, there was no problem in Shimoda completely.
I went to the beach to take photos of Shirahama beach today.
There were a lot of people as usual on the beach.

Today it was very beautiful day, but we had a strong wind in the morning.
There were a lot of people on the beach, but they put their parasol toward the wind.
However, it was very hot this afternoon.
I wanted to swim there!!
Last night the TV news said, the air temprature was highest of this year.
However, it was almost cloudy and we had a strong wind here in Shirahama yesterday, so I was thinking what the difference between the other places and Shirahama was.
But it became a beutiful day today.
There were many people who was swimming and sleeping on the beach.

Today it was sunny and we didn't have a wind.
Yes, it was a good condition for swimming.
This beach is "Shirahama Chuou Beach" next to "Shirahama Ohama Beach".
This is a good snorkeling point and good beach for children, because they don't have big waves there inside two breakwaters.
It takes about 20 or 30 minutes by walking on the beach from Shirahama Ohama Beach.
Today it was rainy from early in this morning, but it stopped to rain at around 4:00 PM and we could see a blue sky in the west.
After that my son and I went to Shimoda downtown for shopping.
When we finished shopping we found that the sun was setting into the west mountain and the sky changed the color from blue to yellow.
"OK, Yuuki. Let's come back home. We will be able to see the beautiful sunset today.".....

Yesterday it was good weather in Shimoda.
Today it was beautiful. Yes, it was better than yesterday.
There were many people on the beach, and they were playing, swimming, walking and sleeping.
There were also some surfers in the water, but they didn't have good waves.
It was good condition for snorkeling today.!!
Last night we had very strong wind here in Shirahama, but it became sunny today.
When we don't have a sun in the sky it is cool, but it was very hot this afternoon.,
There were some surfers on the beach, but they didn't have big waves.
If I had enough time I could have dive today....... It was really regletable!
After our guests checked-out I was cleaning the guest rooms. And then my son came and said,
"What can I do today?"
When I clean the guest room my son usually comes and says so, because he doesn't go to pre-school on weekend and he has a lot of time.
"OK, could you help me to clean the bath?" I said.

Today we got some presents from our guest who came from Germany and stayed at Sakuraya in last April.
She came to Japan for her private holiday and stayed at our Pension for 3 nights.
I didn't know who she was before checked-in, but I knew and was surprised at her job after talking with her.
She is working as a marketing and distribution at Bärenreiter, and she often comes to Asia for sales and marketing.
Actually, I am a member of chorus group in Shimoda, called "Shimoda Chor Freude", and we will have a 30th anniversary concert next April and now we are just practicing Mozart "Requiem".....
We usually pick plums from the plum tree after the middle of June, but the harvesting season is earlier than usual.
So I went to the plum tree to pick I found out this!

This is a nest of birds, but I don't know whose nest it is.
I was thinking there was nothing inside, and I put my hand into it.
Then my hand touched something there. ......

Last nigh we had heavy rain here in Shimoda, but it became cloudy at 9:00 AM.
After our guests checked-out, when I was cleaning the guest room I found an amazing scenary through the window of guest room.
The island was floating on the sea of clouds.
That island is called "Izu Oshima".
That is one of islands located in the pacific ocean.
It was very beautiful like a picture.
Today it was sunny too.
The air temperature was going up and up and very hot at last.
This morning I went to Shirahama post office and went a little futher to Ogasaki Wing.
Ogasaki Wing is located at the entrance of Shimoda city on Rout 135, and this is one of good view points in Izu peninsula.
From this points we can look over Shirahama Beach, Suzaki peninsula and Izu seven islands.

I got up early this morning and went to the beach to take photos at around 6:00 AM.
It had been rainy and cloudy for last 2 days, but it became sunny this morning.
As we have a lot of guests this weekend they will be happy for the sun.
Today I went to the beach later again. .......
Today we had a heavy rain and strong wind here in Shirahama this morning.
When I went to Shirahama Chuo Beach to check the condition at around 10:30 AM the rain had already stopped.
We have a sand art competition of Shirahama primary school on every June here on this beach, but it didn't take place this year because of rain.
It was cloudy all day today.
After picking my son up at Shirahama pre-school we went to the beach to check it out.
There was nobody on the beach and very quiet.
As we didn't have wave the sea looked like almost lake.
Yes, it was a good condition for snorkeling, but I could not do it because we were very busy and didn't have enough time for it.
"OK! Let's go to buy icecream!"
Today it was Sunday and my children didn't go to the school.
It was holiday for my children and they might had been relaxed, but my son Yuuki was boring and asked us to play with him.
So I decided to go to the super market to buy the icecream and we ate it on the beach.
It was sunny and hot today.
That's why the icecream made my children happy!!

I sometimes find some kinds of animals around our Pension.
They are squirrel, racoon dog, wild boa and so on.
Today, when I was cleaning our guest room I found something walking on the road in front of our building.
Do you know that?
Yes, it's a monkey.
They sometimes come to our feild and eat vegetables and fruits because they can't get the foods in the mountain and may be hungry.
But there is no problem. Because they go into the forest immediatly when they find out us.

Last night I was checking the weather forcast as usual and it said that it would be rainy and windy tomorrow.
Actually we had a strong wind with a rain in Shirahama.
And the weather report said us the strong wind and heavy rain today.
When I took this picture I could not hold my camera because of wind.

We have this tree in our field and it is more than 20 years old.
Have you ever seen this fruit?
This fruit is called "Biwa" in Japanese and "Loquat" in English.
This fruit has big stones inside but it is very sweet.
We can eat it between the end of May and the middle of June.

Today it was sunny in the morning after 3 days in Shimoda.
When I was cleaning the gurest room I could see the beautiful blue sea through the window.
I wanted to take a picture soon but waited for my son finished the pre-school.
After picking my son up at the pre-school we went to the beach in the afternoon, but it became cloudy and could not take a picture of the gorgeous sea at last.
When we were playing on the beach my friends came and showed us it.
I took this picture at 7:20 AM.
As usualy I walked with my children some part of the way to their school and went to the beach again this morning.
It was sunny but there were clouds in the sky.
The sun light was coming through the clouds and it looked like a curtain.

I walked on the beach this morning again.
It was cloudy today and we had no waves in Shirahama.
That's why there was nobody on the beach.
It was silent.

I walked with my children who went to the primary school this morning.
Before getting to the school I went to the beach.
Today it was sunny but was not hot, so I could walk comfortably.
We usually the waves here but there was no water because of a low tide.
In this case we can walk under that rocks....
