2014/07/12 Shirahama beach was opened today!

The opening means the life savers have been ready for visitor's safety.

The weather forecast had already said several days ago, that it would be sunny this weekend.

So a lot of people came to this beach today, I think.

2014/07/11 Blue Sky came back!!

The typhoone has passed away last night, but we didn't have any dameges from this.

We still had a little clouds in the sky this morning, but after that it became a perfect day for the beach!!

Our customers have already gone to the beach!

I took this picture through the windows of our guest room this morning.

 

2014/07/08 Shirahama Beach today

It had been sunny and very hot here in Shirahama since this early morning.

There were some people on the beach when I went there to take pictures, and they had a little big waves by typhoon.

There will be no life guards until Friday, so take care of yourself when you get into the water.

2014/07/07 Is it noisy at Pension Sakuraya?

When I took my children to the shool this morning I took this picture at the nearest beach "Shirahama".

We had rain this morning, but it became cloudy and sunny after that.

By the way, we got an e-mail from abroad today.

And they asked us how far from the beach and how far from the main town in Shimoda.

Actually our customers are worring about the noisiness at our Pension during busy season.

Of course we have a lot of customers during summer, but it's very quiet around our Pension.

Because it's a little bit far from the noisy beach, and Pension Sakuraya is surrounded with the trees and by the mountain.

 

 

 

2014/07/06 Shirahama Beach this morning

I went to the beach to clean up this morning.

We, local peple clean this beach every 2 months.

When I went to the beach before 6:00 AM, there were alreday some people and some of them were swimming.

We have a little wind today, but the sun came back again.

 

 

2014/07/04 A Beach of the Another Planet

We had heavy rain here in Shimoda last night, but the blue sky and sun light came back again.

And the sky was covered with a lot of clouds soon after that.

 

 

 

 

After I took my daughter to the school this moring I went to the beach to check the condition.

They had been preparing the beach to welcome a lot of visitors in summer.

There were a lot of small sand mounds on the beach.

It looked like a sand art.

On the other hand, when I saw the sea I think....

It seemed we landed on the another planet by accident.

 

2014/06/29 Perfect Summer Day in Shirahama

It was rain all day yesterday, but it became sunny today.

After I finished cleaning up the guest rooms I went to the beach to take pictures.

The perfect blue sky and the beautiful blue sea made us been excited, so I could not believe that they had heavy rain in Tokyo today.

2014/06/25 Shirahama Beach today

It was sunny but sometimes cloudy here in Shirahama today.

There were some people swimming in the water.

 

2014/06/23 Blue Sea in Shirahama

I took a lot of pictures of the beach, because it was beautiful day and the sea was really blue today!

 

 

 

 

2014/06/21 Shirahama Beach today

It was cloudy all day here in Shirahama today.

There are a lot of kinds of flowers on the slope in front of Pension Sakuraya.

And we can see beautiful flowers blooming in each season.

I went to the nearest beach "Shirahama Beach" to take pictures.

There were a lot of people on the beach, It was cloudy though.

Some of them were surfing, walking, sleeping, and swimming.

2014/06/13 Shirahama Beach today

I went to the beach after school after a long time.

After rainy days we sometimes have good waves in Shirahama.

We had a little strong west wind, but it was very hot today.

 

There were some surfers on the beach because of the good waves.

They weather forecast says it will be sunny again.

2014/06/08 It's almost summer here in Shimoda!

It's beautiful day and very hot here in Shirahama this morning.

Yes, it's almost summer!!

But the south wind makes us very comfortable.

 

 

 

After I took my daughter to the shool by car I took this picture at the beach.

As I don't have enough time I could not wait for the good wave, but they sometimes had very nice waves for surging this morning.

2014/06/07 Blue Sky was back!!

The operation of Izukyuko line was regulated by the heavy rain this morning, and all of train serveces on this line were stopped.

And also this rain prevented some of high school studens from going to school.

But the trains resumed its operation before noon.

After the raining stopped I went to the nearest beach "Shirahama".

I could see the beautiful blue sky after a long time.

 

2014/06/06 Shirahama Beach today

It had been raining since yesterday morning, but the rain has just stopped at aound 8:00 this morning.

When I went to the beach there were a lot of seaweeds on Shirahama Ohama beach, which were brought by strong wind and big waves from the sea.

On the other hand, there was no seaweeds on Shirahama Chuo Beach.

Do you know why?

Shirahama Ohama Beach is located in the southern part of Shirahama, and we had had strong north wind since yesterday morning.

That's why a lot of seaweeds were brought by this strong wind, I guess.

2014/06/01 Foggy sea in Shimoda

It was sunny and very hot here in Shimoda today.

When I went to the nearest beach "Shirahama" this afternoon I could see not only some people walking and swimming on the beach and also the sign of....

 

 

I went to Shimoda afte that.

When I arrived in Shimoda I was really surprised the scenery there.

 

 

 

It was a first time for me to see the foggy sea at Shimoda harbor. I couldn't see anything over the sea.

2014/05/31 Sand Art Comtetition

The sand art cometition of Shirahama primary school was held by PTA this afternoon as an anual event.

All of school students participated this competition and the parents supported their children.

It was sunny but not very hot, so this is good condition for sand working.

After that my son and I came back home by walking on the beach.

 

 

 

 

 

 

2014/05/30 Shirahama Beach today

We had a little strong west wind, but it was very hot under the sun shine.

When I was walking on the beach I took this picture behind Shirahama shrine.

That rock looks like a big ship or submarine, I think.

This is one of beautiful scenery in Shirahama.

2014/05/29 Blue sea in Shirrahama and twilight time in Shimoda

It was sunny and very hot here in Shirahama today.

I went to the nearest beach "Shirahama" this afternoon.

The sea water was shining under the sun light.

 

 

 

And I went to Shimoda city by bicycle this later afternoon.

The sun had already set in the western mountain, but the city was beautiful in the evening twilight time.

We had heavy rain and strong wind here in Shirahama last night.

After I took my child to the school I took this picture this morning.

The rain had already stopped, but I could see the foggy mountains.

AS we had heavy rain and strong wind I took my children to their school this morning.

When I was taking pictures I was about to be blown away by the very strong wind!

2014/05/20 Low tide at Shirahama Beach

I took this picture behind Shirahama shrine this afternoon.

We had low tide at around 2:00 PM today.

When we have lowest tide we can walk on the beach to the other side.

There is another beach "Shirahama Chuo Beach".

It was really beautiful today.

2014/05/15 Full Moon at sea

When I came back from Shimoda I saw a full moon shining on the Pacific ocean.

2014/05/13 Yellow Flowers in Shirahama

We had heavy rain in Shimoda this morning.

But the sun came back again after noon.

When I went to the beach for walking I found out the yellow flowers on the way.

This flower makes me feel that the early summer is coming soon!!

2014/05/10 Surfing Competition in Shirahama Beach

All Japan Ranking Surfing Championship has been held in Shirahama since yesterday.

As our customers who stayed with us last night participated this competition I went to the beach to support them.

 

We sometimes have very good waves for surfing, but they didn't have it.

It wiil be a final stage of this competition tomorrow.

The condition is not so good, but do your best and be a winner!

2014/05/02 Blue sea and Green leaves

It's beautiful day and very hot this morning here in Shimoda.

The mountains are covered with the fresh green leaves now!

2014/05/01 This looks like a beach in southern island?

It was cloudy this early morning, but it became sunny after that.

When I went to the nearest beach "Shirahama" this afternoon, I found out the white clouds in the blue sky and the clear water.

Even if you want to get this beautiful beach you don't have to the southern islands.

It takes only 3 or 4 hours from Tokyo to this gorgeous paradise!

 

 

2014/04/27 Carp Streamer "Koinobori"

We will have the children's day on May 5th, so I stood up the carp streamer for my son yesterday.

We had a little wind, but it was sunny and very warm here in Shimoda today.

I went to the nearest beach "Shirahama" with my son to take pictures.

As they had good waves there were a lot of surfers on the beach.
