2013/11/17 Shirahama Beach this morning

I walked on the road along the seaside this morning after 2 weeks.

It was not so cold, but we could have a beautiful scenery this morning here in Shirahama.

2013/10/10 Shimoda this morning

The air in the sky is clear and the blue sky is shining with sun here in Shirahama this morning.

The weather forecast says it will be very hot in Shimoda today.

2013/09/30 Red leaves in Shimoda

I took this picture through the window of my car in front of Izukyu-Shimoda train station this morning.

We can see the red leaves at the middle of the mountain over there.

I think it's earlier to change the color of leaves this year than usual.

I'm wondering we can see the red leaves at the end of December.....

2013/09/27 Shirahama Beach this morning

I took this picture on the top of mountain behind Pension Sakuraya.

It's a little bit colder than yesterday, but we can see the Izu Seven Islands clearly this morning.

The weather forecast says it will be sunny today and tomorrow.

2013/09/24 Big Waves in Shirahama

It is another strong windy day, and we have huge waves here in Shirahama this morning.

2013/09/16 The typhoon left big waves in Shirahama.

We had a little heavy rain and strong wing by typhoon, but there was no damages for us this time after all.

I went to the beach to take pictures this afternoon.

After typhoon passed away it left good waves for surfers in Shirahama, and a lot of surfers came to this beach to get big waves.

I think some of our customers had bee worrying about the weather of this weekend, but actually they got a beautiful day!

2013/08/31 View from Pension Sakuraya

It's windy and cloudy, but sometimes blue sky appears today.

I took this picture through the window of the guest room.

It will be sunny tomorrow, the weather forecast says.

2013/08/21 Sun rising this morning

I don't know why, but I got up earlier than usual, at 5:15 this morning.

I found out the red sun was just rising, so I took this picture.

2013/07/04 Cats and dogs

I took this picutre at 7:00 AM after I took my son to the shool by car this morning.

We had a rain cats and dogs here in Shirahama this morning, but the rain has already been stopped and it became cloudy at 1:30 PM now.

Weeding the slope took place at Aloe field in Shirahama today.

We have a beautiful view looking over Shirahama Beach at this place.

2013/06/22 The World Cultural Heritage Mt. Fuji

I got a great news on TV today.

Mt. Fuji, a highest mountain in Japan at 3,776m, was listed as  a world cultural heritage by the world heritage commitee of UNESCO in Cambodia.

2013/06/07 Shirahama Beach this morning

I took my daughter to the school by my car, because it's rainy this morning.

We have a little strong wind here in Shirahama, but there is no wind around Izukyu Shimoda train station.

Mt. Nesugata between Shirahama and Shimoda is protecting the town from the wind.

2013/05/31 An interval of good weather - - Hydrangea native to Japan

Even though we are in the rainy season now it was sunny all day long.

When I walked on the seaside I found out the wild hydrangea on the cliff down the road.

This is a native one to Japan and we can see this kind of hydrangea on the coast of Izu peninsula, Boso peninsula, Miura peninsula, Izu seven islands and so on.

This hydrangea exported to China from Japan long time ago, and exported to Europe in 18 centuries.

Nowadays the most of hydrangea which are seen at the many places in Japan are the breed improved in Europe and they were imported to Japan again.

It means this is the original species of the hydrangea which you usually see.

201305/30 Rain in Shimoda

My daughter usually goes to school by bicycle, but I take her when it's rainy.

I took this picture on the way home, at Sotoura beach between Shimoda and Shirahama.

The weather forecast says it will be sunny tomorrow.

 

2013/05/25 Shirahama Beach & Sotoura Beach today

It was sunny today, but a north east wind made us feel a little cold.

Some wind surfers came to Shirahama to get good wind and there were a lot of surfers on the water.

When I went to the beach it was low tide and I saw a different scenery from usual.

2013/05/08 A Small Red Princess in Shirahama

We had a little wind but it was very warm today.

When I was walking on the beach I found out a small red bug.

Yes, she is a ladybug.

2013/05/01 Shirahama beach this morning.

My daughter has now a small trouble on her knee by bike accident several days ago.

Of course she can walk as usual, but it is a little hard for her to ride a bike.

So I took her to the school by my car again this morning.

I took this picture on the way home and I was able to see the Oshima island clearly, but it's still very cold today.

Why not?

I have been thinking about the weather, it was changed before noon.

The blue sky goes well with Shirahama beach.

2013/04/29 Sunrise at Shirahama beach

Our customers got up before 4:00 AM this morning and went to the nearest beach to see the sunrise.

As it was beautiful morning they could see the gorgeous sunrising on the horizon.

"Don't eat the sun!!"

They sent us this picture by e-mail after breakfast.

2013/04/18 Shirahama Beach this morning

It's sunny and very hot here in Shimoda this morning.

I took this picture when I walked.

As the air is clear we can see the mountains coverd with fresh green leaves clearly.

If the air temperature would be getting higher we would be able to swim in Shirahama during Golden week.

In last about 10 days I have been looking forward the dandelion by the sea everyday, because I wanted to take pictures of dandelion backed by the sea.

But I couldn't find it out.

I took this picture this morning.

2013/04/16 Palm trees in Shimoda

When I walked on the road near Sotoura beach I took this picture this morning.

Between Shimoda and Shirahama there are some palm trees on the road.

I remember my home town "Miyazaki" everytime when I see them, because there are a lot of palm trees in the town and on the seaside roads in Miyazaki city.

2013/04/15 Shirahama Beach today

It was sunny and much warmer than yesterday in Shirahama today.

When I walked in Shirahama I took this picture behind Shirahama shrine.

There are a lot of interesting points to explore and see in Shimoda.

2013/04/07 Big waves in Shirahama & Cycling in Shimoda

Last night we had heavy rain and strong wind here in Shimoda.

But it became sunny and the blue sky came back today.

They had big waves this afternoon.

After I took pictures on the beach, my son and I went to Shimoda for cycling.

I parked my car at Shimoda harbor and started cycling to Rendaiji town.

We had strong wind, but my son was very excited today.

2013/03/30 Cycling on the river side in Minami Izu town

I went to Minami Izu town with my son to ride bicycle.

Sakura trees on the riverside were fully blooming and we could see the rape blossoms as well.

We rode bicycle to the beach on the riverside and came back to the parking lot.

It was almost 2 hours, but he was very excited and had a fun today.

2013/03/28 Spring messenger "Dandelion"

It was sunny and very hot in Shimoda today.

When I walked along the sea I found out a lot of yellow flowers.

They are dandelion flowers which tell spring has come.

2013/03/26 Sakura trees are fully blooming in Shimoda.

I went to the Sakura Park on the river side in Shimoda.

There are a lot of Sakura trees along the river, and they are fully blooming now.

Ths week is the best timing to see Sakura blossom in Shimoda.

2013/03/26 Sea water current 'Kuroshio'

The warm water of sea current 'Oyashio' is getting closer to Japan in these days.

That's why the water temperature is very warm and is warmer the air temperature.
