The air in the sky is clear and the blue sky is shining with sun here in Shirahama this morning.

The weather forecast says it will be very hot in Shimoda today.

Our customers who live in France and stayed with us in  April 2010 sent us this postcard.

Today we got a photo by e-mail from our customers who came from France and stayed at Sakuraya for 6 nights in last August.

They are very good family, and their baby was really cute and made us happy!

2013/10/08 Shirahama Beach today

I walked on the road from Shirahama beach to Sotoura beach along the seaside.

We didn't have strong wind after 5 days, and it was very hot like summer today.

Some surfers came to this beach to get good waves.

A family who have stayed with us during last Golden Week came to Sakuraya and stayed for the second time.

Their children are very cute!

2013/10/06 Shirahama Beach today

Today we have another windy day here in Shirahama.

But our customers went to the beach for swimming and had been excited with the blue sea.

I walked on the beach today again.

We had no wind and it was very hot today.

I walked along the seaside after 3 months.

We didn't have north wind today after a long time, and it was very hot here in Shirahama.

2013/09/30 Red leaves in Shimoda

I took this picture through the window of my car in front of Izukyu-Shimoda train station this morning.

We can see the red leaves at the middle of the mountain over there.

I think it's earlier to change the color of leaves this year than usual.

I'm wondering we can see the red leaves at the end of December.....

2013/09/27 Shirahama Beach this morning

I took this picture on the top of mountain behind Pension Sakuraya.

It's a little bit colder than yesterday, but we can see the Izu Seven Islands clearly this morning.

The weather forecast says it will be sunny today and tomorrow.

2013/09/24 Big Waves in Shirahama

It is another strong windy day, and we have huge waves here in Shirahama this morning.

2013/09/20 Summer Day in Shirahama in September!

Last weekend we had a typhoon, but this is a perfect day this time.

We had a little north wind, but it was very comfortable on the beach.

Yes, the summer day came back again to Shirahama!

You should have come here this weekend!!

All of our customers this morning are foreigners, besides all of them are German!!

If only I was able to speak German..... :)

 

 

 

 

 

After breakfast all of our customers went to the beach for swimming.

We have a little wind this morning, but it's very hot like summer!!

I took this picture at Itami fisherman's port in Shirahama on the way to Shimoda for shopping this afternoon.

I sometimes had sea sprays by the big waves.

Today it was sunny and very hot.

Yes, it was almost summer, because we didn't have north wind here in Shirahama.

But we had big waves. Is it an influence by typhoon near Okinawa?

It has been sunny, but windy after typyoon.

And we have waves today again here in Shirahama.

I think it will be hot today.

We had a little strong north-east wind in Shirahama today.

But it was a very good condition for wind surfing!!

It's sunny, but we have a little strong north wind in Shimoda.

2013/09/17 Shirahama Beach this morning

We have a little wind this morning, but it's sunny and cooler than before.

2013/09/16 The typhoon left big waves in Shirahama.

We had a little heavy rain and strong wing by typhoon, but there was no damages for us this time after all.

I went to the beach to take pictures this afternoon.

After typhoon passed away it left good waves for surfers in Shirahama, and a lot of surfers came to this beach to get big waves.

2013/09/15 Big waves in Shirahama

Even the typhoon is approaching it was sunny today.

After I finished cleaning the guest rooms I went to the beach to take pictures.

The typhoon brought the big waves to Shirahama.

Is typhoon coming?

We had heavy rain in Shimoda this early morning, but it's sunny now!

All of our customers for tonight cancelled because of typhoon.

We may have a storm tonight and tomorrow morning.

Be careful, everybody!!!

2013/09/14 Attention! Big waves in Shirahama

This is Shirahama Chuo Beach.

I took this picture this afternoon.

They usually don't have sucha a big wave on this beach, but the waves are now getting bigger and bigger because of typhoon.

2013/09/13 No jellyfish and warm sea water in Shirahama

I went to 3 points on Shirahama Beach to take photos this afternoon.

Our customers who went to the beach to swim said, "There was no jellyfish in the water today!"

We had a little north wind, but it is still good condition for swimming in Shirahama!!!

It had been almost cloudy before noon, but the sun came back after 2:00 PM.

There were still a lot of people on the beach today.

The weather forecast is changing time after time.

3 days ago it said it would be cloudy or rainy on September 6th, but it was sunny today actually.

I went to the nearest beach "Shirahama" to take pictures after 4 days, because we still have some customers everyday.

There are a lot of places which had heavy rain in Japan, but it was sunny here in Shirahama, Shimoda today.

They were very lucky to come to Shirahama.

I wanted to swim if I didn't have to work today.

I think some of our customers had bee worrying about the weather of this weekend, but actually they got a beautiful day!

It's windy and cloudy, but sometimes blue sky appears today.

When I went to Shimoda for shopping I took photos on the way.

Look at that water!

Today the sea water was very clear in Shirahama.

I want to get into the water right now!!!

2013/08/28 Thank you for staying!

They came from Germany and stayed at Sakuraya for 5 nights.

It was a 4th time for us to meet them, and they stay for 5 or 6 nights every time.

Actually we have some customers who came again as a second time, but there is nobody came for the 4th time.

We really appreciate it very much.

 

By the way they gave us a wonderful present.

These are German wine and Austrian ice wine. Last year they sent us these wines after staying and we loved them very much.

We are really looking forward to drinking them after busy season.

Thank you very much for staying with us and wonderful presents.
