Our customer who came from Tokyo gave me this present.
I'm not good at whisky, so I have never heard about it, but is it very famous and popular whisky?
I'll try this after the busy season!

2013/08/27 Shirahama Beach today
I asked my daughter to take a picture of the sea, because she went to Shimoda for shopping.
This picture was taken on the top of mountain behind Pension Sakuraya.
There were still a lot of people on the beach at the end of August.
The beautiful blue sea is waiting for you!!

They came from Brooklyn in New York and stayed
for 3 nights.
It had been almost sunny and they went to the beach every day for swimming.

By the way, when they checked in they gave us presents.
These are MAST BROTHERS CHOCOLATE which are very popular in New York in these days.
It was a first time for me to see and eat the chocolate with "Chili Peppers"!!
Of course it's sweet, but it's not only spicy but also very hot!!

2013/08/23 Shirahama Beach today
I went to the beaches in Shirahama after 10 days.
We are very busy everyday, so we don't have enough time to go to the beach to take pictures.
Obon holidays had already finished, but there sitll were a lot of people on the beach.

This family came from France and stayed for 6
nights.
They went to the nearest beach "Shirahama", Sotoura Beach and many places in Shimoda.
After check-out they went to Narita airport to leave Japan.
See you someday again.

2013/08/21 Sun rising this morning
I don't know why, but I got up earlier than
usual, at 5:15 this morning.
I found out the red sun was just rising, so I took this picture.
2013/08/19 There is no jellyfish (aurelia) in Shirahama.
Our customers sometimes ask me,
"Do you have jellyfishes there?"
My answer is "No".
I don't know why, but there is no jellyfish "Aurelia" here in Shirahama even after the middle of August.
But the other kind of jellyfish called "physalia" is driven by the strong south west wind to the sea in Izu peninsula once several years.
If you find out this blue jellyfish, don't touch it!
The water temperature is usually getting higher and higher this month, so why don't you come to Shirahama?

We have a lot of customers everyday.
It's sunny and very hot today, but the wind make us fill better.

2013/08/13 Shirahama Beach today
We have gotten into the busiest holidays in
Japan, called "Obon".
Shirahama beach was occupied by a lot of people and most of parking lots in Shirahama were also full.
This condition will be continued until next Sunday, I think.

They are from the Philippines and live in
Tokyo.
As they arrived in Shirahama in the late afternoon, they was able to swim for the only short time.
Next time leave Tokyo earlier than this time and have a longer good time on the beach.

Before coming to Shimoda they went to Hiroshima to participate in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony.
I took this photo of them and the Japanese sword (Katana) which is aｎ umbrella acutually.

We had heavy rain this morning, but it became sunny and very hot after that.
2013/08/03 Shirahama beach on Saturday in summer!!
It was almost cloudy this morning, but we had a sunshine after that.
In spite of such a weather there were a lot of people on the beach.
2013/08/02 Snorkeling at Ebisujima island in Shimoda
Last night and today we didn't have many
customers I went to Ebisujima island for snorkeling with my son this
afternoon.
Even my son is in summer holiday we can't go and travel anywhere because of our job, so I decided to go for him.
Before we arrived at this island it was cloudy but it became sunny after that.
There were some people who were snorkeling with swim wear there, but my son put on the wet suit because the north wind was a little cold for him.

after a long time, because we had been very busy.

It is a first time for them to travel in Japan.
They came to Shimoda after Tokyo and Ito city, and are going to Kyoto, Kanazawa and many places for a month.

They came from France and stayed
for 3 nights.
On the 2nd day they went to Shimoda aquarium for the dolphin touching.
In the 3rd night their daughter put a Japanese Kimono which they bought in Kyoto when they had dinner.
And when they checked out they gave us a present.
It was a very delicious sable which they brought from France!

2013/07/24 Shirahama Beach today
It had been almost cloudy all day long and we sometimes had a
small shower here in Shirahama.
But there were some people on the beach.
2013/07/22 Funamori - Sashimi arrengement!
Last nights we served this Funamori to our
customers who ordered in advance.
Several portions of sashimi of local fishes are arranged on a wooden container made in the shape of a boat.

It was cloudy this mornig, but it became sunny after noon.
On the way to Shimoda for shopping I took photos on the beach.
There were a lot of people on the beach today.

I had been very busy in these days, so I was
