I went to the beach before we started cooking our guest's dinner.
Today we had a south wind, so it was very hot!
There were a lot of surfers and the people who were swimming.
The weather report says that the water temprature is more than 20 degrees.
Yes, it is getting warmer here in Shimoda.
Tomorrow it will be sunny too!!!!!!
In the moring it was a cloudy but it became sunny in the afternoon today.
I could not go to the beach today because we were very busy, but I think there were some people on the beach.
The weather forcast says that it will be sunny tomorrow and the temperature will be 28 degrees.
Wao! I love the heat and look forward to tomorrow.
The busy Golden Week was finished at last today.
Thank you for staying at Sakuraya during Golden Week.
The weather was very good in the first half of GW, but we had a rain after May 4th.
It was truely regrettable for our guests in that period.
It's still raining in Shirahama today, but we may have a sun tomorrow.

My daughter said when she came back from the shool this morning.
Today it was sunny.
We had a little strong wind this morning but the wind was stopped in the afternoon and the temprature was very high.
There were many people who were swimming in the water and sleeping on the sand.
During Golden Week we are very busy every day.
But I went to the beach to take pictures in the afternoon.
I took this picture behind Shirahama shrine.
Look at that! We had a low tide today.
The waves usually come to the middle of that big rock but I could see the rocks in the water today.
Yes, when we have a low tide we can walk under that big rock.

We had a very strong wind yesterday, and the weather forcast said last night,
"It will be windy tomorrow too."
But actually we didn't strong wind and it was very hot today here in Shirahama.
In addition, as we were able to see the island over the blue ocean it was a very beautiful scenery.
My family and I have been living in Shimoda for more than 15 years, but Shimoda and Shirahama make us very happy.
Because Izu peninsula has both the mountains and the beautiful sea and we can spend a happy time with them.
Especially, in this season we can see the fresh green leaves on the mountains. So I love this season.

Yesterday it was rainy and windy in Shimoda.
But the weather was changed this morning and it was sunny and very hot in Shirahama.
We have been very busy last weekend, so I went to the beach after several days.
We can see the mountains from Shirahama beach and they are shining brightly by the green leaves.
The green leaves make us refreshed, right?
I took this picture at the parking lot which is called "Miharashi-Hiroba" in Shirahama.
Today it was very warm here in Shimoda.
And when I went to the sea it was low tide and the water was very clear, so I decided to do "Snorkeling" there.
I came back home and brought my wet suit, and then I went back to the sea....

This morning it was cloudy but it became sunny later!
Yes, we were able to have a sunshine after 1 week.
When I was cleaning our guest rooms I was able to see a blue sea!
So, after I finished to clean up I went to the beach with my son Yuuki.
On the beach we had a little west wind but it was very warm today!!

There are some kinds of cherry trees in our garden.
One of them is called "Kawazu Sakura", which blooms in Feburuary, but this tree is "Oshima Sakura".
Oshima Sakura blooms in the same season of the most famous Sakura in Japan, called "Someiyoshino".
I love the season which Sakura start to bloom, because Sakura tree has blossoms and a lot of pink buds, and it is very cute!

When I went to Shimoda I went to Shimoda park to check the blooming of cherry trees.
This year it has been cold in these days, so Sakura trees started to bloom slowly.
But I was able to see some trees have already bloomed in this park.
There are a lot of cherry trees on the river side in Shimoda downtown, but I don't know if I can go there soon because we will be busy this week.
2 years ago it was a 20th anniversary for our Pension Sakuray, and then we started to present our guest postcard as a gift.
Our guests were pleased with these postcards and everyone praised these photos which I took in Shirahama.
So last year we conteniued to do it after we changed some of them.
And this year it became 22nd anniversary.....
Today it was sunny and very warm here in Shirahama.
At around 3:00 PM I went to the beach with my son Yuuki before picking up my daughter who came back from the school.
My son and I went to the rock behind Shirahama shrine.
There is a red gate "Torii" of shrine on a big rock.
We were going to Shirahama Chuou beach walking on the rock......
In this late afternoon I got a telephone calling from my daughter, Hikari.
And she asked me to pick her up on the way to home, so I went out by my car.
Before picking my daughter up I went to beach to take photos.
Today it was sunny but we had a little strong west wind, and they had a low tide at that time.....
2 days ago we had a heavy rain and a strong wind in that night.
It was almost typhoon, so a table for patio outside was broken by the wind.
"Ah, we have to buy new one before summer....."
By the way it was sunny today and we were able to see a beautiful scenery.
But we were not see Izu Oshima island today because thhe air was not clear.
It was rainy early in this morning but the weather has been changed.
Yes, we got a sunshine after one week here in Shirahama.
After my daughter finished a school I went to the beach with her and my son.
They were very happy on the beach......

As I had to go for shopping I went to the beach after that.
I took this picture at the back of Shirahama shrine in Shirahama Ohama beach.
There is a red gate called "Torii" in Japanese on the rock and we can see Izu Oshima island over there.

Today it was cloudy in the morning and sunny in the afternoon.
After my wife came back from Shimoda I went to the beach with my son Yuuki.
In Shirahama there are 2 beaches called "Ohama" and "Chuou".
We can get to Chuou beach from Ohama beach by walking along the beachside, and it takes about 20 or 25 minutes.
But we took a car today as we didn't have enough time.....
Today I could see a blue sea after several days.
It had been cloudy for last one week here in Shirahama.
This morning it was rainy but the weather had been changed after 2:00 PM.
I took this photo after coming back from shopping in Shimoda downtown with my son, but actually I took some more photos before I went to Shimoda......
The shining crystal was rolling down at that moment.......
It started to rain last night here in Shirahama and had been raining this morning, but it stopped after noon
After I finished to clean the guest room I went out and found this.

I went to Shirahama primary school with my son to pick my daughter up after school today.
This is a parking lot near the school.
When I picked my daughter up I found this and took some photos.
There are some Kawazu Sakura trees there.
We had a strong wind today and it made the cherry blossom brawn down on the parking lot.
My children were excited with it and running around this place.
In these days Kawazu Sakura trees have green leaves after blooming..
The best season for Sakura in this region will be finished soom.
There is a Torii ( Red gate of shrine ) behind Shirahama shrine.
Today I went there to take photos.
But I could not open my eyes there because we had strong west wind and it brew the sand.
In addition we could find an another thing ......
"They don't have good wave today."
This morning our guest who is surfer went to the beach to check the wave and said so.
It was sunny and very warm today I went to the beach with my children after finished to clean up the guest room.
My purpose was snorkeling.
I have been thinking I would like to dive in winter, but it had been very cold in these days and I couldn't do it.......
Today my wife went to Shimoda downtown for shopping, so my son and I had been in our pension before noon.
However my son got tired of watching DVD and came to my room.
"Why don't you go to the beach today?"
We decided to go to the beach by walking.
When we were going down the hill to get to the beach my son looked very happy because his back was dancing ......
Today it was almost cloudy but sometimes we had sunshine.
It was not cold but we had north-east wind, so we didn't feel to go to the beach.
By the way Kawazu Sakura (Cherry blossom) in our garden has fully bloomed at last.
We are very happy looking this tree in spite of cloudy today.

It was very cold this morning.
I took this picture at 7:30 AM, the sun had alreaday rised up.
The island in orange light under the cloud is called "Toshima", one of Izu seven islands.
Last night the weather forcast said "It would be sunny tomorrow", but actually it was almost cloudy after noon and we couldn't see any islands over the ocean.
We were lucky we could go to Shimoda cable car yesterday.
Today it was very beutiful day.
When I saw the ocean from our pension I could see Izu Oshima island clearly, so I desided to go to Mt. Nesugata-yama by Cable car with my wife and son.
It's only 3 minutes by calbe car to get to the top from the cable car station near Izukyu Shimoda station.
As I was thinking we could get very beutiful senery from the top of mountain like this picture........

Today it was rainy as yesterday.
When it rainy it frustrated me because I can't go anywhere to take pictures.
Anyway I went out to check out the outside condition and I found two green birds came to the cherry tree next to our building.

We have some kinds of Sakura in our garden.
But this tree has already had a lot of blossoms.
This Sakura is one of kinds of Kawazu Sakura which is very famous for blooming earlier than Yomeiyoshino.
But I planted its seed several years ago, in another word, this sakura is raised from seed.
So this sakura is a little different from real Kawazu Sakura.
