They came from Canada and stayed at Pension Sakuraya for 4 nights.
During their stay they went to the beach and many places by rental car.

It was really beautiful here in Shirahama today.
Actually I wanted to go to the beach to take pictures, but I didn't have time to it because of my job.

They came from Germany to Japan for the 1st time.
They stayed at Pension Sakuraya for 3 nights at the end of their travel in Japan for 2 weeks, and went to the beach every day under the sun!

It was their first time to vist Shimoda and they stayed at Sakuraya for 2 nights.
They went to Shimoda park and walked around Shimoda.
And they went to Suzaki walking path after checked out.

They came from France and stayed at Pension Sakuraya for 2 nights.
Before coming to Shimoda they went to Kyoto, Hida-Takayama and many places.
When they checked in she told me that her colleague who stayed at Sakuraya last year recommended our Pension.
We are really appreciated to hear that!
But unfortunately it had been rainy during their stay and they could not go to the beach under the sun.
We are very sorry about that....
We hope you will be able to come to Japan and Shimoda under the sun in the future.

It was the middle day of 3 holidays in Japan.
There were a loooooot of people on the beach!

It's sunny and beautiful day again.
The water temperature is getting higher little by little and the water is very clear.
2014/07/14 Blue Sky came back!
It was cloudy and we had a little heavy rain this morning, but after that, we got the blue sky came back!
I really really wanted to swim in the water today.

They came from Switzerland and stayed at our Pension for 4 nights during their one month trip in Japan.
On the 1st day the typhoon was coming to Japan and it was cloudy here in Shimoda, but the weather became sunny and they had perfect days for the beach after the typhoon passed away.
After check out they went to Kyoto.

2014/07/12 Shirahama beach was opened today!
The opening means the life savers have been ready for visitor's safety.
The weather forecast had already said several days ago, that it would be sunny this weekend.
So a lot of people came to this beach today, I think.

They came from Holland to Japan for the 1st time.
They went to the beach on the 1st day, and went to Shimoda to eat Red Snapper which is the most famous and popular fish in Shimoda.
After checking out they went to Kyoto.

2014/07/11 Blue Sky came back!!
The typhoone has passed away last night, but we didn't have any dameges from this.
We still had a little clouds in the sky this morning, but after that it became a perfect day for the beach!!
Our customers have already gone to the beach!

It was beautifu day again, but it was very hot and humid!
I didn't have enough time to go to the beach to take pictures because of my job, so I took this picture at the balcony of guest room.
2014/07/08 Shirahama Beach today
It had been sunny and very hot here in Shirahama since this early morning.
There were some people on the beach when I went there to take pictures, and they had a little big waves by typhoon.
There will be no life guards until Friday, so take care of yourself when you get into the water.
2014/07/07 Is it noisy at Pension Sakuraya?
When I took my children to the shool this morning I took this picture at the nearest beach "Shirahama".
We had rain this morning, but it became cloudy and sunny after that.
By the way, we got an e-mail from abroad today.
And they asked us how far from the beach and how far from the main town in Shimoda.
Actually our customers are worring about the noisiness at our Pension during busy season.
Of course we have a lot of customers during summer, but it's very quiet around our Pension.
Because it's a little bit far from the noisy beach, and Pension Sakuraya is surrounded with the trees and by the mountain.
2014/07/06 Shirahama Beach this morning
I went to the beach to clean up this morning.
We, local peple clean this beach every 2 months.
When I went to the beach before 6:00 AM, there were alreday some people and some of them were swimming.
We have a little wind today, but the sun came back again.
2014/07/04 A Beach of the Another Planet
We had heavy rain here in Shimoda last night, but the blue sky and sun light came back again.
And the sky was covered with a lot of clouds soon after that.
After I took my daughter to the school this moring I went to the beach to check the condition.
They had been preparing the beach to welcome a lot of visitors in summer.
There were a lot of small sand mounds on the beach.
It looked like a sand art.
On the other hand, when I saw the sea I think....
It seemed we landed on the another planet by accident.
2014/07/03 Cleaning the Dining Room
It was cloudy this morning, but it became rainy after that.
I cleaned up the dining room and waxed the floor today.
It took a long time to do it, because I had to put all things in this room out.
After putting everything out, the dining room looked like a gymnasium.
My son played in this room after school.
2014/07/02 White Eye on Loquat tree
When I saw a white eye on the loquat tree through the window of the guest room, he was just looking for the next loquat to eat.
"Which loquat is good for my lunch, and is sweeter than the other?"
2014/07/01 We got a card from France!!
We got a pink envelope from France today.
I opened it wondering what it is, and a very cute baby appeared out of the envelope.
I had already known that our customers who have stayed several years ago got a new family, but they sent us her pictures as a birth announcement dar!
She is really cute like an angel.

2014/06/29 Perfect Summer Day in Shirahama
It was rain all day yesterday, but it became sunny today.
After I finished cleaning up the guest rooms I went to the beach to take pictures.
The perfect blue sky and the beautiful blue sea made us been excited, so I could not believe that they had heavy rain in Tokyo today.

Pension Sakuraya in Shimoda, Japan

They came from Yokota in Tokyo and stayed for 1 night.
They had been worrying about the weather before coming, and it was rainy on the 1st day.
But they got the beautiful sunshine like summer after all on the 2nd day.
I was very happy to see they were excited on the beach under the perfect sun.
We are looking forward to meeting you again in this summer.

Our customers this morning are all Americans.
They had rain all day yesterday, but it became sunny this morning.
Of course they went to the beach after breakfast.

There were some people swimming in the water.

I went to Shimoda and went to Perry Road to take pictures.
The hydrangea is now fully blooming in Shimoda, and there were a lot of visitors it was rainy though.
