2014/07/11 Thank you for staying.

They came from Holland to Japan for the 1st time.

They went to the beach on the 1st day, and went to Shimoda to eat Red Snapper which is the most famous and popular fish in Shimoda.

After checking out they went to Kyoto.

Have a nice trip in Japan.

2014/07/11 Blue Sky came back!!

The typhoone has passed away last night, but we didn't have any dameges from this.

We still had a little clouds in the sky this morning, but after that it became a perfect day for the beach!!

Our customers have already gone to the beach!

I took this picture through the windows of our guest room this morning.

 

2014/07/09 Bule Sky in Shirahama

It was beautifu day again, but it was very hot and humid!

I didn't have enough time to go to the beach to take pictures because of my job, so I took this picture at the balcony of guest room.

2014/07/07 Is it noisy at Pension Sakuraya?

When I took my children to the shool this morning I took this picture at the nearest beach "Shirahama".

We had rain this morning, but it became cloudy and sunny after that.

By the way, we got an e-mail from abroad today.

And they asked us how far from the beach and how far from the main town in Shimoda.

Actually our customers are worring about the noisiness at our Pension during busy season.

Of course we have a lot of customers during summer, but it's very quiet around our Pension.

Because it's a little bit far from the noisy beach, and Pension Sakuraya is surrounded with the trees and by the mountain.

 

 

 

2014/07/04 A Beach of the Another Planet

We had heavy rain here in Shimoda last night, but the blue sky and sun light came back again.

And the sky was covered with a lot of clouds soon after that.

 

 

 

 

After I took my daughter to the school this moring I went to the beach to check the condition.

They had been preparing the beach to welcome a lot of visitors in summer.

There were a lot of small sand mounds on the beach.

It looked like a sand art.

On the other hand, when I saw the sea I think....

It seemed we landed on the another planet by accident.

 

2014/07/03 Cleaning the Dining Room

It was cloudy this morning, but it became rainy after that.

I cleaned up the dining room and waxed the floor today.

It took a long time to do it, because I had to put all things in this room out.

 

After putting everything out, the dining room looked like a gymnasium.

My son played in this room after school.

2014/07/02 White Eye on Loquat tree

When I saw a white eye on the loquat tree through the window of the guest room, he was just looking for the next loquat to eat.

"Which loquat is good for my lunch, and is sweeter than the other?"

2014/06/29 Going to the beach after breakfast

Our customers this morning are all Americans.

They had rain all day yesterday, but it became sunny this morning.

Of course they went to the beach after breakfast.

They came from Shanghai and stayed for 2 nights.

It was a first time for them to vist Japan and came to Shimoda after some places.

They went to the beach, and went to Shimoda to see Hydrangea Festival and to eat Red Snapper.

We look forward to meeting you someday again.

2014/06/21 Shirahama Beach today

It was cloudy all day here in Shirahama today.

There are a lot of kinds of flowers on the slope in front of Pension Sakuraya.

And we can see beautiful flowers blooming in each season.

I went to the nearest beach "Shirahama Beach" to take pictures.

There were a lot of people on the beach, It was cloudy though.

Some of them were surfing, walking, sleeping, and swimming.

2014/06/19 Homemade Plum Wine

We have 3 plum trees in our garden, and we make plum wine in every June.

Last week we picked them up, and my wife and I made wine yesterday.

We serve our customers the plum wine which we made 10 years ago.

It means we will be able to drink the wine which we made yesterday at least 10 years later.

2014/06/15 Thank you for staying!

They are from the United States and live in Yokosuka city, Kanagawa Prefecture.

One of them have come to Shimoda 6 times last year, but the other people came to Shimoda for the 1st time.

I had been worrying about the weather before they came, but actually they had perfect days for the beach this past weekend.

We are looking forwared to meeting you again in September!

We had the full moon tonight.

I could take pictures from the terrace of Pension Sakuraya.

It was really gorgeous!!

2014/06/08 It's almost summer here in Shimoda!

It's beautiful day and very hot here in Shirahama this morning.

Yes, it's almost summer!!

But the south wind makes us very comfortable.

 

 

 

After I took my daughter to the shool by car I took this picture at the beach.

As I don't have enough time I could not wait for the good wave, but they sometimes had very nice waves for surging this morning.

2014/06/04 Hydrangea in our garden

The hydrangea in our garden is getting colored day after day.

Do you know the color of hydrangea is different depending on the gredients of soil is acid or alkaline?

2014/05/28 Loquat tree (Biwa in Japanese) in our garden

There is a big tree of loquat in our garden next to Sakuraya's building.

Every June we can get this fruit, but now they are getting colored!

We are really looking forward to eating it and making Loquat wine (Biwa-shu).

They are from the United States and live in Tokyo.

They have come to Shimoda twice before and this time they stayed in Shirahama for the 1st time.

One of them is now expected and she will have a new family next month.

2014/05/18 The most beautiful day in these days

It has been sunny since last Friday, but it was the most beautiful day of this weekend today.

We didn't have wind and we could see Izu Oshima island clearly from the terrace of Pension Sakuraya.

There are many kinds of flower around Pension Sakuraya and the flowers are now blooming.

Yes, the summer has come here in Shimoda!

By the way, this is our son, Yuuki.

He was putting on the his elder sister's hut.

They came from Taiwan.

They have come to Japan twice, but it was a first time to vist Shimoda and stayed at Pension Sakuraya for 3 nights.

They walked around in Shimoda city and went to the beach early in the morning to see the sunrise.

Actually she is expected, and they will have a new family in next September.

now ready for check-in.

This room has windows on west side and south side, so we can get a lot of sun light  through the window.

They came from Taiwan.

They stayed in Tokyo for 2 nights and came to Shimoda for the 1st time.

After they checked out they went to Seven waterfalls in Kawazu town next to Shimoda by bus.

We are very sorry about the weather, but we hope you will come back to Japan again!

2014/04/18 New shampoo and conditioner

We prepared new shampoo and conditioner instead of Two-in-one Shampoo for our customers.

These are very popular at beauty parlors and hotels in Japan.

It was very warm here in Shirahama today.

A lot of bugs seemed to be very busy to get lunch under the sun shine.

They are from France and live in Tokyo.

3 years ago they have stayed at Pension Sakuraya, and came this weekend for the 2nd time.

They went to Tatado beach for swimming, but how was the water? Did you get into the water?

When they checked out they said, "It was very good stay because the rooms are very nice and breakfast is delicious! We will be back again!"

2014/02/28 Shirahama Beach and Sakura falling down

When I was walking on the seaside road this morning I took some photos.

It was sunny and the warmest day this year today!

That's why I saw some young peeple got into the water at the beach this morning.

 
 

The Sakura petals were fallen down by the rain yesterday.

We had a little sun light today, and it was warmer than yesterday.

The weather forecast says it will be snowy tomorrow again!!

2014/02/09 Thank you for staying with us.

They have lived in Yokohama since last August, and came to Shimoda for the 1st time.

On the 2nd day we had heavy rain and strong wind like a storm. (Actually they had a heavy snowfalls in Tokyo and Kanagawa on that day!)

On the 3rd day, we had the sun, so they went to Tsumekizaki and Irozaki cape.

We look forward to meeting you again under the sun.
